The Glen Cottage established in 1893 and the Scottish Cottage in 1898 are architectural wonders in themselves. The Danish cottage was also established in the same year. These were built by a British engineer. He owned this cottage for around 41 years i.e. from 1893 to 1934. After him, this cottage was owned by Nawab of Karachi (1934 to 1937). Later Mr P.N. Kaul owned this cottage from 1937 till 1951. Today it is running as a heritage resort.

History
The Resort has served as the residence of a British Architect. The resort is situated at an impressive height of 6500 feet above sea-level. The resort is delimited by 2000 acres of magnificent cedar and pine forests and enjoys breathtaking views of the Greater Himalayas. All guest rooms and public areas neighbouring the resort give you a scenic view of the surrounding dense cedar forests. Simla British Resort provides an opportunity to get close to nature and experience the mystery, romance and adventure of the Himalayas lying back in the luxurious and comfortable setting dating back to 1893. The resort has also been a part of many movie shootings too. The resort is about an hour from Jubbar Hatti Airport at Shimla with regular connections from Delhi.
